If there was ever a second time around for a recent TV show that could be defined as “sophomore slump”, it is most certainly ‘Heroes’. I can easily compare it to the near death of season 2 of ‘Desperate Housewives’, which also imploded spectacularly. What was once considered to be the most enthralling TV show since ‘Lost’ quickly became more easily comparable to ‘Commander in Chief’ as fans cried out against the disappointing second season of ‘Heroes’. There is an upside, though. Now that everything is settling down, and with much talk about the promising third season, we can take a look at the second season with, perhaps, an open mind, and ask ourselves if it was really that horrible.
