Two weeks following recent events, Nathan is resolves to help a comatose Peter and must turn to Simone for help. After seeing the ever confusing “Hiro vs. T-Rex” painting Isaac created, Hiro and Ando are inspired to find the samurai sword depicted in the painting. Jessica attempts to fight Niki’s resolution to give herself over to the police. With Matt chasing after him, and his partner, Eden, dead, H.R.G. must refocus himself on the instructions concerning Sylar. Following a choice given to her by the Haitian, Claire finds herself at an impasse as she suffers the changes her decision has brought about. Suresh takes up his father’s life’s mission and begins to share info about who made the list of people with unique powers, and the potential threats to their very lives. The latest hero makes a very surprising debut.

Distressing and somber repercussions befall the heroes, their friends, and their families after the catastrophic events in Texas. In the meantime, surprising information about the moments before Issac’s predicted NYC nuclear bombing are exposed. Afterward, Issac’s latest work of art depicts a mesmerizing future for a certain hero undergoing a crisis. Suresh decides to take the first few steps on the fresh path ahead of him. Matt and Audrey Hanson, an FBI agent, follow up a new lead in serial case of Sylar. Disgusted with Jessica’s most recent proceedings, Niki makes a rough call in order to keep her family safe.
When the Heroes are suddenly thrust six months into the past, Mohinder’s father, Chandra Suresh, shows up in NY in search of people with unique powers. He encounters someone very eager to be unique. While Peter Petrelli enjoys his graduating from nursing school, he discovers that his brother, Nathan, is going to bring to court a case that could potentially lead to big problems for their entire family. The nastiest side of Niki is shown in full color when her father surprises her with a visit. Hiro tries to step up and be a hero in order to alter the future for someone significant. After joining the cheerleading squad, Claire makes an interesting discovery. The Haitian and H.R.G. meet someone of particular interest.
Homecoming night is ruined when festivities turn into fright; H.R.G. must try his best to keep Claire safe. Simone and Nathan team up to locate Isaac’s picture for Peter, but this little sliver into the future could be a guide to tragedy. Hiro goes into the past to right a very unnerving wrong. Micah gets a little quality time in with his father as Niki aims for a goal. While Suresh continues to have weird dreams back in India, he discovers a boy that could very well compel him to pick up his father’s research once more.
Still in mourning, and back at home, Suresh experiences a few odd dreams that delve into his past and cause him to heavily question what road he should take next. Although still on their voyage to NY, Hiro and Ando make a pit stop at an eatery and encounter someone very interesting. Still in full crisis, Niki has a personal revelation that leads to a personal understanding. After Peter realizes it might be the key to the future, he requests Nathan’s help when it comes to finding one of Isaac’s paintings, which was recently sold by Simone. Determined to recapture her formal, normal life, Claire devotes her focus on preparations for the Homecoming, not knowing what is really to come. Another “hero” has the full attention of H.R.G. and his unexpected associate.
With her son in the middle of a crisis situation, Niki confides her recent trials and tribulations to her friend. Setting aside problems in his home life, Matt helps Audrey explore another strange murder, but their tracking down of the baffling serial killer, Sylar, takes an unanticipated turn. After he fails to rise to a “superhero” challenge, Hiro has serious doubts about his bravery. As Nathan and Heidi (his wife) demonstrate, it takes two to strategize when it comes to winning the congressional election.
Temptation in Vegas puts a halt on their heroic expedition to New York, when Hiro and his friend are confronted by a high-roller who makes an offer they can’t say no to. Claire hopes that her biological parents can answer her questions in regards to her powers, when H.R.G. (her adoptive father) organizes a meeting between them. Thankfully Peter is there when Isaac receives yet another perplexing phone call from Hiro; he answers in time to pass on a life saving message.
After losing yet another chunk of time, confused Niki discovers police officers at her doorstep, looking for her escapee husband (D. L. Hawkins). Claire takes a bold step and makes a confession to her father. Unfortunately, Hiro and company get rolled by some very high-rollers. An unexpected source brings a life-altering message to Peter. In the meantime, Matt secretly employees his mind-reading power to understand his spouse’s desires. Shocked by current goings on, Suresh plans to go home to not only to lay his father’s remains to rest, but his research, as well.
After a great deal of effort and time, Suresh has tracked down on of the legendary, genetically altered and advanced “supermen” his father created. In an attempt to use time to his advantage while gambling in Las Vegas, Hiro’s idea backfires. Niki’s syndicate debtors employ their control to their betterment in a more complex plan, while Nathan visits to a prosperous Vegas contributor in person, to raise extra campaign finances. After the disastrous bonfire, Claire’s supernatural healing powers are thoroughly tested. Isaac’s paintings, however, suggest that her future might very well be pregnant with peril. A duo (who is well informed about people with special abilities) spy on Matt in order to gauge his special abilities.
While our Heroes continue on testing their unbelievable new powers, Claire finds herself struggling to keep up her normal social life – especially when her romance with the quarterback takes an ugly spill. Hiro manages to convince his buddy that they are intended to journey to America in order to save the world. A terrified Niki takes orders from an unknown source and finds herself in the center of the desert. The ever singular-minded Nathan uses Peter’s mishap to further his political campaign. Matt along with the FBI and Suresh (with his helpful father’s journal) attempt to hunt down the ever intangible Sylar.
Just outside of a strange and grotesque crime scene, Matt Parkman, (a Lost Angeles cop), is the sole person who hears the cries of a lost little girl. After the self-injury, self-heal tape Claire made goes missing, she is worried that her secret ability will soon be well-known. Niki, believing that she might very well be going insane, wakes after losing a block of time to find viciously murdered hoodlums in her garage; if that’s not enough, Social Services is confronting her about Micah. Hiro explores New York while Nathan speaks to Peter about his leap off a building.

A drug addicted artist who can paint things to come finds his relationship in jeopardy. A young man in Japan finds that he has the power to stop time with will power alone. So far, not yet known to them, their eventual fate is not anything less than saving the world.
